Learn how to use inductively-coupled plasma - mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) at The Open University on 9th of September. The course covers all the practical theory of the technique including the choice of analytical set-up, how the technique works and the different instrument components. Problematic samples are discussed as well as common sample preparation strategies before data analysis and calibration are covered. During the course, delegates will have the opportunity to reinforce knowledge gained through exploration of a range of case studies covering elemental analysis in pharmaceuticals, drinking water, soils, motor oil, forensics, metal speciation, isotope ratios and food / drink authentication.
What will you learn on this course? • You will learn the theory behind the technique of Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) |
