This course covers the essential theory and chemistry behind analytical derivatisation for GC-MS or LC-MS. Learn about the dfferent types commonly used, how to select a suitable agent and gain hands-on experience in the process of derivatisation.

This course has been approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The course will review the importance of suitable instrument methods and ensuring systems are optimised for derivatisation and will conclude with the benefits and uses of analytical derivatisation in various industries.

The course will have practical sessions derivatising samples using automated systems and also manually and then analyse the derivatised samples by GC-MS or LC-MS.

Duration: 1 day
Scheduled course price: £650 + VAT per delegate
