This 1-day course covers all the essential theory along with practical experience in Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) as a means of sample preparation.
This course has been approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The course looks at the different SPE processes and the advantages and disadvantages of each and the types of sorbents used for each process, looking at the chemistry behind the extraction.
This knowledge will then be used to select suitable sorbents for the extraction of a sample, undertake the extraction process and analyse the extracts using GC-MS or LC-MS.
The course will also cover the importance of SPE method development and troubleshooting.
