Tony Bristow (AstraZeneca)
Tony Bristow, Principal Scientist for Measurement Science, Chemical Development, Pharmaceutical Technology and Development, AstraZeneca, Macclesfield, UK
I hold a leadership role in analytical and measurement science, developing and driving the delivery of analytical and measurement science strategy. This encompasses the broad drug project portfolio (small molecules and new modalities) tackling the challenges therein. Prior to this my major focus was the application and development of mass spectrometry at all stages in the development of pharmaceuticals (2005 - 2018). I am an Associate Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick, the former Chair of the British Mass Spectrometry Society (2012-2014) and a former member of the Royal Society of Chemistry Analytical Division Council (2013-2019).I have authored and co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles on mass spectrometry and many other analytical techniques. I am a regular presenter at both national and international conferences and other events including educational outreach.

Diane Turner (Anthias Consulting)
Diane has developed methods for, given support and high-quality training for companies in most industries around the world for more than 20 years. A Warwick University Graduate, environmental chemistry, later gaining significant experience as an Applications Chemist. Diane is a visiting Academic & Consultant at The Open University where she continues her disease diagnosis research from her PhD along with food, drug and space applications. Diane is President of the Royal Society of Chemistry Analytical Division and Chair of the Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund. She is a Trustee of the Recycling Organisation for Research Opportunities (RORO). Diane is co-author of 'Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry: How Do I Get the Best Results?' published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
John Eastman (Learning Science)
I am focused on developing innovative uses of technology enhanced learning to support science education at all levels from primary school through university and into vocational learning. My passion is to engage students in active learning to support their understanding of science using interactive visual resources. I was the lead architect and principal instructional designer for the development of the Bristol ChemLabS Dynamic Laboratory Manual and subsequently led the development of the approach to the eBiolabs system for disciplines from biochemistry, physiology and pharmacology through to physics, dentistry, biological sciences and engineering. My background is in colloid science, with a PhD from the University of Bristol. After several years of postdoctoral research and teaching I took on the role of developing a national online training course in colloid and formulation science and this is where my passion for online and blended learning started.
Dzeti is an applied food scientist with years of experience in international and UK FMCG companies. After obtaining her Masters’ and PhD in food science from University of Strathclyde, Dzeti went on to gain vast professional experience in new product development, food production and food analysis, in a number of products; red raspberry, tobacco and wine are to name a few. From molecular marker development for flavour quality in soft fruit, establishing a brewery flavour analytics programme to being a distiller, Dzeti has wide-ranging competencies in academic and applied industrial settings. Dzeti is currently the Technical Development Fellow for food and drink, a joint position in National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) and the National Measuring Laboratory (NML), capitalising on her varied knowledge, skills and network in the food supply chain.
