Would you like to learn more about metabolomics? Don't miss this live Virtual Classroom training course on 12th August

The Absolute Basics of Metabolomics course provides an introduction to metabolomics, covering the types of instrumentation that produce data, a summary of workflows used and worked examples of data processing and statistical analysis using data analysis software, along with an overview of applications of metabolomics.

What will you learn on this course?

Opening with a "walk-though" summary of the workflows in a metabolomics study, the course goes on to outline the considerations when designing a metabolomics experiment or study including sampling and quality control, metadata and sample preparation techniques.

There will be an overview of the types of different Mass Spectrometry-based instrumentation and other techniques (such as NMR and Infrared) that produce data used for metabolomic analysis.

The course covers data processing and statistical analysis including worked examples with data analysis software. Processing and preparation of mass spectrometry data as well as an overview of Multivariate Statistical Analysis techniques are covered.

The course also explores the frontiers of metabolomics and advancements in the field, going  through the different techniques, methods and tools used for creating and mapping data.
