The 35th International Symposium on Chromatography (ISC 2026) will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 6 to 10 September 2026. Since its inception in 1956, ISC hasgrown into one of the most established and respected global meetings in separationscience, attracting experts, innovators and early-career scientists working at theforefront of chromatographic and hyphenated techniques.
ISC 2026 will offer a comprehensive and stimulating scientific program designedto foster knowledge exchange across the full spectrum of separation science. Thesymposium program will feature three parallel session program tracks: 1/Fundamentals, 2/ Bioanalysis and omics applications, and 3/ Hyphenated techniques. The extensive list of invited speakers from around the world covers leadingchromatographic experts to guarantee a high-quality research program addressing allkey aspects of separation science and mass spectrometry hyphenations.
The main topics include:
Fundamentals of chromatographic theory, retention mechanisms, and advancesin column and stationary phase technology
LC, SFC, GC and electro-driven separations, including chiral and bioinertapproaches
Multidimensional techniques and miniaturized / microfluidic systems
Hyphenation to mass spectrometry (LC–MS, SFC–MS, GC–MS), including ionmobility and advanced ionization techniques
Artificial intelligence and machine learning in method development and dataanalysis
Practical aspects of method development, robustness, and troubleshooting
Bioanalysis and omics applications (proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics)
Clinical, pharmaceutical, environmental, food, and natural product analysis
The full range of research topics is described in the abstract submission guidelines:https://www.isc2026.org/abstract-submission-guidelines/
The important objective of ISC 2026 is to support the work of early-careerscientists and PhD students because they form the future of our field. We providediscounted conference fees for students, including the possible selection of 3consecutive short courses from 6 short courses in total. Moreover, the program includes27 dedicated slots for 15 min short oral presentations by young researchers and PhDstudents, allowing them to present their latest research findings at a leadingchromatographic symposium. Poster sessions will provide additional opportunities forscientific exchange, with a Best Poster Award recognizing outstanding contributions. The short courses are designed to enhance understanding for participants at all stagesof their careers. The symposium will also host an extensive exhibition of instrumentation, software and consumables, bringing together leading vendors andsolution providers in separation science. Vendor-sponsored seminars anddemonstrations will run alongside the scientific sessions, facilitating direct dialoguebetween researchers and industry innovators.
In keeping with ISC tradition, the meeting will foster a collegial and inclusiveenvironment, encouraging interaction across disciplines and career stages. The specialdiscounted rates for students and early-career attendees aim to make participationaccessible to a broad community of scientists.
Prague, a vibrant European capital renowned for its architectural beauty andcultural heritage, offers a welcoming backdrop for ISC 2026. Delegates will have theopportunity to combine scientific engagement with the rich cultural and socialexperiences the city provides, as many chromatographists may remember from HPLC 2017 Prague.
We invite you to submit abstracts, register for ISC 2026, and join the internationalseparation science community for an inspiring week of discovery, discussion andcollaboration in Prague.
