The Learning Science Teaching Innovation Awards support innovation to positively impact teaching quality and enhance student learning.

Applicants are asked to demonstrate how they have led innovation in teaching and learning in their institution. Winners will be chosen by an expert scientific educational panel.

CAMS Fellowship Awards 2019

The CAMS fellowship awards for 2019 have been announced. The purpose of the award is to assist early career analytical chemists within 5 years of their first full-time junior academic appointment at a UK or Irish HEI to establish their own independent analytical science research identity. Congratulations to this year’s recipients:

CAMS-UK Fellowships Closing date: 06 Sept 2019

The purpose of the CAMS-UK Fellowships (funded by the ACTF) is to assist early career analytical chemists within 5 years of their first, full-time, junior academic appointment at a UK or Irish HEI to establish their own independent analytical science research identity.  The Fellowships, which are valued at up to £30,000, may be used by Fellows in any way that advances the purpose of the Fellowship and of the ACTF.

The Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry at Strathclyde University launches a new post graduate distance learning MSc in Chemical Technology and Management.  This 3 year part-time course (starting in September 2019), is targetted to people already working in the chemical, process and pharmaceutical industries who have their sights set on advancement to senior engineer/management roles.
